Joint letter to President George W. Bush opposes the use of Turkish troops in Iraq as not in the best interests of the U.S.

WASHINGTON DC—A joint letter to President George W. Bush signed by leading Armenian, Kurdish and Greek American organizations opposes the use of Turkish troops in Iraq. The letter highlights 12 reasons why it is not in the best interests of the U.S. to support Turkish armed forces in Iraq.

The six co-signatories to the letter include:

• The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA)
• The American Kurdish Information Network (AKIN)
• The Order of AHEPA
• The Hellenic American National Council (HANC)
• The Hellenic American Women's Council (HAWC)
• The American Hellenic Institute (AHI)
