Greek Parliamentarian Savas K. Tsitouridis Visits AHI Hellenic House Headquarters

Washington, DC—On February 2, 2006, Greek Member of Parliament Savas K. Tsitouridis of New Democracy accompanied by his wife Maria Papadimitropoulou and long time AHI member and the Hellenic American Women’s Council (HAWC) President Dora Hancock visited the American Hellenic Institute’s headquarters, the Hellenic House, while in Washington, DC for the National Prayer Breakfast. While at Hellenic House, Mr. Tsitouridis met with a few members of the AHI leadership, including AHI Chairman James Marketos, AHI Advisory Committee Member Kostas Alexakis, Legal Counsel Nick Karambelas, Executive Director Nick Larigakis and the AHI staff.

The over one-hour discussion centered on items of mutual interest regarding U.S.-Greece relations. These included Turkey’s accession into the EU, FYROM, the Aegean Sea boundary and other topics.
